Either make them disappear, or change their colour.

I favour making them disappear, as there's no need to know the firing arc of a weapon that has no ammo.

When weapons are disabled, change their arc colour; I'd suggest red.

Doesn't the ~ key toggle this already?  I like to see weapon arcs for all weapons I use manually.

Sorry, poor choice of words on my part.
By ammo-less I meant weapons that have depleted their ammo, not weapons that don't use ammo in the first place.
So, for example it'd be nice if the arc for my Heavy Mauler stopped being shown when the weapon ran out of ammo.

A secondary part to this suggestion that just occurred to me;

If a weapon is disabled, show its weapon arc in a different colour; red most probably.

The Hephaestus AG in the center has depleted it's ammo, and there's no arc.

EDIT:
By the way, a bug (I think) - when a weapon has recoil in the code, all the barrels will go back to the farthest point of recoil when it's out of ammo.  And they will stay there, and when the gun is fired and the weapon fire each barrel individually, both barrels recoil (even farther back than normal because the barrels reset to the farthest point) at the same time.

I still have a hard time keeping track if which weapons are offline (even selected ones). Color coding the arcs would make that a lot easier to do.

What prompted this erroneous thread, was me running a Conquest with weapons on auto-fire, and then not knowing which weapons had run out of ammo without switching to the weapon group to check.
Though to check I looked at the weapon ammo counts in the hud, not the weapon arcs on over the ship; I guess I just assumed the arcs were still there

Still, at least a meaningful suggestion did come from this thread

I like this idea, a different-colored arc would be a nice and unobtrusive way of knowing exactly which weapons are disabled at a glance.

I don't think the arc is needed, so much as the dotted lines that show where the shot is going.  The arc isn't very visible IMO if it's a really long-range weapon.
