Alright, since I really haven't seen any posts about it here, was wondering if any of you guys actually play this. I've personally put a good amount of hours into it. Theres something about watching other planes burst into flames from your vantage in a spitfire thats pretty appealing to me :P

Started playing this game a few days ago, I love it! the most air kills I've got in one match is 7, there's all kinds if stuff you can pull off in this game, once I landed a Buffalo with only 1 wing on an airfield for repairs. Everything in this game is so awesome, If you don't already play it I highly recommend you at least try it.

I never could handle the simplified control scheme, I started on world of warplanes and they had it perfectly done and then they changed it and I never managed to get it back so I haven't played either in forever because I can't fly properly lol

It's not the control scheme, it's that world of warplanes has it's aircraft flying through soup.

nah, for me it's the control scheme. Both are now a the plane attempts to follow your pointer and automatically aims itself and banks and everything. while that's better for the basic user, I've been an aviation buff since the age of three, so I get really annoyed when I can't stand on one wing and slide my plane, or roll 270 left to confuse a pursuer as I bank to the right. plus it seems a lot harder to lead targets because you don't control the path the plane is taking to your indicator, so you can miss the leading pip, whereas if you just control the plane you know exactly where you're aiming and hit/miss is all on you

There are full simulator controls for joystick and mouse control, everything you do is on you, nothing is interfering, no instructor, nothing.

the instructor is what controls your plane in anything but simulator and realistic, you simply point where you want him to go.
in realistic, you fly the plane yourself, but the instructor prevents you from crashing it due to pulling ridiculous turns or whatnot, he keeps you flying pretty much, so about 85% of the planes full capability.

in Sim, you're on your own. you can fly at 100% of your planes capability with all the ups and downs.

Is that on warthunder? I may have to give it another go then, I got up to tier 7 in WoWP before they changed it so I gave up, never got too far into WT. If there is a realistic that handles like I like, I may have to give it a shot

I've been playing a bit with friends, only up to tier II planes, and am still utterly *** at dogfights, even after 21 hours of playing (have yet to play as a tank)
