A couple of comments on the art:
the large flat areas on the larger ships are boring and don't look very interesting.
the Wraith looks like it would snap in half the moment its engines fired.
and as mentioned before, the fighters are all very "samey" and hard to tell apart, this problem becomes even more severe if you are zoomed out any reasonable amount.

A quick update. Added a special free hullmod for SO ships. Will probably adjust their base stats later to compensate.

Did nerf the Abaddon a bit.

tyhese...ships will be vanilla balanced right...because there extremely cheap in almost everyway

Great mod, I'm really enjoying this faction. I like that they fight a bit different from any other faction.

At first I thought they were completely OP, but after playing against them for a bit I realized two things:

1) The AI doesn't know how to counter them properly really with a random ship.
2) Their hulls are very weak so as soon as you build up their flux to intolerable levels they will fall quick.
3) Can't letup the attack, if you back-off (which the AI does a lot) they will regenerate and it's back to square one. Missile barrages can work really well here.

If you use the blackrock mod, the Desdinova is a great Shadow Order killer ;)

I will admit some aspects of them are very much over the top. I probably didn't lower their hull enough to compensate for the regen. The Wraith, with it's built in close-range claw weapons and double-teleport perhaps works TOO well.

If there is any way to make the Energy Cores NOT generate Hard Flux, that'd be great. They're suppose to be like beams, very much support weapons. Instead they provide constant pressure that eventually overloads shields under every circumstance.

I do so love watching Axiege suffer though.

Anyway I was going to ask if they're supposed to be hostile right off the bat or if initiated the bad relations and forgot.

Glad you're still enjoying the series though, maybe even if I can reset the relations I shouldn't for the entertainment value.

They're hostile from the start.

That's actually a mechanic though, as you can buy a contract with them at their station for 4000 which makes them friendly to you, gives you a lil' phase ship at the Abandoned Station, and provides weapons and ships for sale at the HQ.

It also makes everyone else violent towards you though.

actually despite the scrappers simple ship construction and bashing it was quit creative....they looked like there hegemony previous bethren and you made them unique to everyone else....there is a phrase called "Keep It Simple Stupid" which mean it is simple yes but despite that greatly gave them a personality...and they are like the antediluvian's in a sense they have no shields but high armor but instead of a flood of small weaponry they have much fewer but more expensive weaponry....and they were the antediluvian's kryptonite...in other words there simple but very creative and fun :)

I can't seem to get ahold of an abaddon...am i missing something? I've bought the contract several times and waited countless in game days, and one never showed up. Is boarding the only option to take one for yourself?

While the ships look cool and all, i find the faction a little bit overpowered.

Their fleets with destroyers catch my starting hound (no other ships in my fleet) as well as i've seen their fleets just demolish hegemony defender fleets in early game. Leaving me with simply no defense against the pirates and the shadow order itself.

On top of the fact that they are pain in the ass to kill early game because of phasing and teleportation :)
