GTA V second hand or New ?

Hi
i'm about buy GTA V for Xbox 360
but i don't know id i should but NEW or USED copy of that game
but i got one concern that i won't be able to register my game if i get an used copy
& my question is: will i be able to registrate my game even on used copy ? & what registration gives you ?

but i just want to be sure what is registration for
because you know i have far cry 3 (new) & there is registration also but its straight just for one profile & stuff
