Opening/Closing Of Menus

I noticed that if you press R to open to refit menu for example, pressing R again doesn't close it which is rather annoying (for me atleast). Would it be possible to make pressing the same key again close the menu?

I didn't know if it was a bug or intentional so I'm posting it here.

I'm pretty sure this is an intentional choice as its consistent across the hotkeyed things- however, you can hit 'esc' to close any menu you are in.
