deciding on new game
« on: June 19, 2013, 09:23:03 PM »

hi all

so I came across some extra money, and I'm thinking I'd get a new multiplayer game.

Want to go for something tactical, right now I'm looking at either Wargame:ALB or Mojang Scrolls. Does anyone have any experience with or recommendation of any of them?

Any other suggestions for multiplayer games $40 or under, tactical or not, are also welcome, as long as they're recent.

thanks in advance

TB's coverage of Scrolls has had me interested too.... though not enough to buy it.

If a discount was offered to owners of minecraft, I may well bite.
Maybe even a little bonus gold for those of us who backed minecraft from the very beginning; before it became the acclaimed success it is today. =]

I'd fully recommend Wargame AirLand Battle. Having played it quite a lot these few days now, i can say that it's among my favorite RTS's now. And they sure didn't lie about how many units the game has.

Have been really enjoying awesomenauts. It's cheap, and fairly casual. It's best played with friends as well, haha. It IS fun multiplayer, though, and it does involve strategy somewhat.  :)

Just thought I'd toss out the rec.

ty about awesomenaut, kinda forgot about it all this time, might buy it about now.

indie gala bundle looks... ok, not really what I'm looking for. The only thing in there I'm really interested in is SOTS, and that's an old game

I'm pretty sure everything on steam would be on sale during one of these major sales. New releases may only just get something like 10% discount, but a discount is a discount.

Remember guys, we need food, water, shelter and clothes to survive, so dont go letting Gabe Newell suck up all of your money. You'll need it.

haven't had a good experience with paid multiplayer games thus far, prob sticking with F2P in the future :( at least they give u a chance to see if you like it first

such a shame too, the game had promise
