the function of supply fleets in starsector
« on: April 30, 2013, 06:59:02 PM »

Quick and simple question, but after browsing for a little while and failing to find it, I figured I'd ask. Do supply fleets actually resupply the stations, or are they just for effect (as of 0.54.1a). If so, do the supplies delivered scale with the amount of ships that deliver the goods (e.g. one hound getting through and dropping off 1 cargo vs. the whole fleet getting through and dropping off 100 cargo).

Yes, that actually resupply stations. You can intercept them to stop them resupplying the base as well as getting some free stuff.

Yes, convoys do resupply stations. Though, if you're just playing vanilla, the convoys can resupply stations very slowly. As for damaged convoys, I think they resupply less, assuming they're subject to the same laws as players are in that they can't push their cargo limits.
