Question for the OP... So the first and ONLY game that you've bought, huh?
That only brings me to two conclusions:
1. Starfarer is simply such an amazing game that it spoke out to you and pulled you off your ugly athletic ways and life filled with healthy food, lots of sex and active sports. You simply couldn't resist its lure and now you're one of us, space commanders, enjoying his very own seat upon the biggest badassest hunka-dunkaest murderousest ships the space combat on PC has ever seen... ooooor
2. You are a (space) pirate yourself! Copying any game you lay your eye on and never feel obligated to pay the people for years of hard work because you don't deem them worthy! Which I'd be inclined to believe, since you've mentioned Heroes of Might and Magic in your post
In any case, glad you're enjoying the game. I used to be a pirate myself when I was 12... all the way till I was like 18, then I started buying games, I didn't have to play everything that came out any more, my taste refined, so I could afford those few I really appreciated and I still do. I even pay for titles now sometimes that I had used to play before I started making money, they are cheaper now of course, but I still feel obligated to give the creators something for hours I've spent with their products, especially games that I've played through multiple times and really enjoyed
PS: Upsss, sorry, it's gone a lot off-topic. So to the topic, real time on battlefield AND starmap?
I've expected a kind of starmap that was in SPAZ (where nothing really happens on the map, until you jump to another planet/system, which counts as a turn pretty much). I must say this is some interesting news, I'm looking forward to seeing it in action. Btw, is there gonna be 0.5 soon? Pretty pleaaaaaaaaase, I can't wait!
