concept question
« on: March 16, 2013, 01:44:59 PM »

i had a little idea but wanted to get some feedback before applying it.
Battlecruiser with phase teleporter. Would a long cooldown and a spike in hardflux enough to compensate or the idea is just flawed from the get-go ?

the concept itself seems interesting overall...

Seems interesting. It gives you the opportunity to get yourself into scrapes you can't get out of.

There's a ship kinda like that in the Caelus mod, if you want to see one in action before deciding to put it in your own mod.

Yeah, there is the CDF battleship, the Dauntless-class. I advise using devmode to test it out, or money cheats, because it is VERY pricey in the campaign, and I'm not entirely sure it is playable in the missions.

If you played the ISF, the Titan carrier does have a teleporter as well,

Balanced properly, it would be fine I would think. Though balancing something like that would be difficult

The Titan in the Interstellar Federation mod fits that description. Great ship, almost feels like you're flying a Battlestar.

When in doubt try changing the systems on a vanilla ship to see how it works out. That's how I decided on systems when I was first starting out.
