5 is nice but i find myself needing more.

IS there any plans to add more?

That's disappointing.

Especially when some bigger capitol ships have many slots, and you want to be able to fire each group separately, this especially applies to missile weapons.

I dont recall it being shot down, as such (at least not when I last mentioned it) Although there was some discussion around it for and against conclusion seemed to be drawn that one or two more migth be appropriate, but more than that would be unesececary, I dont think Alex weighed in on the issue directly, so we dont have word of god, either way.

IDK I have been wrong in the past but for some reason i just remember it getting shot down somewhere (patch notes(?)).  I would just like to say that i do actually agree with having more weapon groups :)
