I have a problemo
« on: November 27, 2012, 08:35:36 AM »

Problemo 1: HD 4000 graphics be borked... or are they? They don't appear anywhere, and running the driver setup fails
Problemo 2: How do I see what Catalyst drivers I'm running?

To see the version I just look in the catalyst control center under info. Just type cata in the windows search if you don't know where it is.

As long as your desktop runs with normal resolution your card is probably ok.

Arranging holidays in an embrace with the Starsector is priceless.

I'm not that dumb, but it's like I canne see if I'm running say 12.11 or whatever. It's seriously confusing. 2012.07... is that my driver? 12.07?

The driver version is named for when the driver was released (YY.MM).

I had issues with my HD4650 after the last driver update, so I manually downloaded the drivers from the AMD site. It selected the 12.6 drivers for me, and I haven't had any problems since, and it hasn't recommended any newer drivers (even if I manually update). Maybe the 4000 series isn't supported anymore?

DOH
Should've put Intel HD 4000. Bundled on a 3570K.
I've actually got a 7970.
Figured out no.2
