A little modding suggestion (or rather, request) for missile type projectiles.

Currently, the size of the flameout glow is (I presume)set by how large the engine it is that is flaming out. for the purposes of modding, it would be nice if it were possible to define how big the flameout glow is, I.e; for homing energy weapons.

Edit:

The main reason this would be nice would be for projectiles for which the engine is a huge part of its in game appearance. currently, if you want such a projectile to be reasonably visible, you have to put up with a horrifically large flameout flash.

Do you mean the "engine exhaust is a huge part of its in game appearance" ? Otherwise I don't understand the problem.

i think he meant the engine flames....

I agree theoretically, but I never modded projectiles b4 so i don't know how it would work..

still, if it's not too difficult i suppose

Yeah. The problem IMO, is most obvious in flare like projectiles. With a small graphic and a comparatively huge engine. For straight up flares, it's not a problem. But for anything that isn't a flare, but has to same graphic and engine ratio, it's not so great. Especially if your trying to make an energy based homing weapon that fades out instead of exploding with it flames out.
