I very much doubt that that's a typographical error; the game generally sticks to US Navy hull classification symbols when it needs to shorten ship classifications, DD is that system's standard symbol for destroyers, there isn't a "Light Destroyer" classification unless you count something like the Destroyer Escort (hull symbol DE; during the Second World War, generally a ship somewhat smaller and slower than the fleet destroyers and primarily intended for convoy escort, broadly similar to the contemporary frigates of the Royal Navy), and DL is already taken for "Destroyer Leader" (generally speaking, a ship intended to lead formations of destroyers, often though not always an oversized destroyer or a small cruiser and usually having space for command facilities not normally found on "regular" destroyers) or, from roughly the 1950s to the mid-1970s, "Frigate" (at the time, a fleet escort larger than a destroyer but smaller than a cruiser in the US Navy's classification system).

Not sure if "hrums" is meant as an onomatopoeia, or if it is meant to be "hums".

Also, I think "its" should be "its'" with an apostrophe at the end.

The correct form of the third person singular neuter possessive pronoun does not contain an apostrophe.

I stand corrected. I guess I've just seen it used (wrongly) often enough that I started assuming it was correct.

Yes! Very, very early Starfarer used these naval designations (I was playing way too much Hearts of Iron, as I recall), but they've generally been removed over the years aside from certain sprite names (buffalo_af, buffalo_dd, condor_dd, aurora_ca, etc.) My concern is that this is a remnant of that, but I seriously can't find the string "DD" anywhere in the project except as part of LUDDIC and HIDDEN in a bunch of places.

It could appear in the base game if you (the player) named a custom variant "Light DD", but presumably you didn't? I'll run this by Alex in case he has any idea what's going on, but I may have to leave it at that.

Edit: Wow, fascinating answer from Alex. Apparently some text will be shortened via code, so "Destroyer" can be cut down to "DD" in certain cases. I had no idea! So let's call this "working as intended".

Not sure if "hrums" is meant as an onomatopoeia

Yup!

Hi, There's a typo in the rules for making a deal with Tri-Tach without going through Arroyo. Tgoether instead of together. Not surprising its never been noticed before I guess, who actually does that route out of the crisis?

ttMakeDealOptSelContact

$option == ttMakeDeal
$isContact

"I see you, I hear you, and I believe that tgoether we can solve this misunderstanding," $heOrShe says, voice warmed by client-relations protocol training. $HeOrShe shifts to an apologetic look, "Of course I wouldn't want you to think that I was behind any of this. Tri-Tachyon is a big believer in healthy internal competition, and some executives become ... overenthusiastic." $HeOrShe shakes her head, "Terribly misjudged and disrespectful of the business relationship you and I have built together."

Thank you for the detailed report, already fixed in-dev :)

Hi, it seems there's a typo in the Princess of Persea quest when talking to Sang:

soe_sangRound2someoneElse:"Pardon me, I was about the speak with someone else."

Sorry if this was already reported!

Engine 2 of the sarissa seems to have a typo where its location is -14,-7 instead of -14,-8 to mirror the other one.

Ah, looks like this was halfway done - just wasn't pushed to the dev build. Now done.

Me again, noticed a (possible) typo in the Volatile Particle Driver description:

"Shields officer reported localized polarity inversions on the forward arc, estimated full collapse within 'seconds'."
- AAR, first encounter at Isir, [REDACTED] expedition

"Isir" doesn't appear in the pre-genned core worlds, nor does it appear to be on the name list. Is this supposed to be Isirah?

Nope, (this is a reference to a character in a World of Darkness campaign I played in a few years ago, ahem.)

Does this count as a typo? True to the selection, you can give her 5 armarments, but then it says it took 10 armarments. If you only have 5 armarments, you just have 0 left, but if you had more than 5, it takes more armarments until it's taken 10 armarments.

When talking to Sebestyen about a large sum of money and then saying "eh, not now"...

Spoiler
"Ah, I- of course, yes." Sebestyen taps a key, closing the word he already started. "If you change your mind, just let me know at any time."
[close]

Unless I'm missing something... this just feels like there is something missing or something got replaced during the writing process.
'cause how do you "close a word"
