I am having some troubles with the blurry text from the mod.


Exact same issue here. Been playing since 0.7.x and this is the first time I've run into this kind of blurry text. AFAICT everything else works, it's just that the blurry console makes it rather painful to read. On 0.9.7, Win 10, and using Java23. Are you also using Java23?

I tried the console command mod on a new laptop with 3200*2000 resolution, I also encountered blurry text issue. And some of the texts are in super small fonts(Remaining memory, enter-command-line etc). Tried the settings command but it only changed the font size of logs. Is there a way to fix this?

To add more info, I'm running into this blurry text thing on my current Windows install, which as far as I can remember had no such problem on 0.91.x - 0.95.x; I skipped 0.96 and went straight to 0.97, and installed Java23 via TriOS. I've been using the same 1920x1080 monitor throughout all those versions, so I don't think monitor resolution is the main cause. My Mac install is still on 0.95.x, and doesn't have the blurry console text issue either (played on another external 1920x1080 monitor). So I think it's (probably? maybe?) either a 0.97 or Java23 compatibility problem. Might try and install 0.97 with Java8 on Mac over the weekend to see if I can narrow it down.

Does anyone know how you might use console commands to forcibly add a captain skill to your character? Having a compatibility issue with Second in Command and another mod, so I'd like so see if forcibly adding the Automated Ships skill to my captain fixes it. Thank you in advance!

So, I did a bit of digging on the blurry text thing, and it turns out to be a change made in LazyLib 2.8b. If you roll back to LazyLib 2.8 (and update its mod_info.json so it'll run with Starsector 0.97a) then you get the same nice crisp text in Console Commands as you used to.

Presumably doing this will make some other custom fonts look worse, though?

When using DEVMODE and setting sensors: false, does this give AI fleets unlimited sensor range as well?

I'm being pursued by bounty hunters and trying to lose them out in the wilderness is proving less effective than hoped.

Some fleets always know where you are regardless. I think they get periodic updates to your position so they aren't moving directly at you but they will eventually get to you if you don't keep moving.

hi thanks for great mod. I just have a little request if u can spare time.
u can add an alternate version of storage command. lets say storagex.

while using storagex moving or taking and item from/to storage cost credits depend on that items value. it can even be better if that command activate after a time delay.

so we can use that command as an immersive way of remote transportation system.

I tried this and now I don't see Console Command in the mod list anymore. Weird.

Hello. For those of you who are having trouble with blurry text, if you check out the mod's Github repo, you can see LazyWizard is working on a patch for 0.97a, including a new font.

afaik it is in fact just a normal onslaught XIV but with a special version of 'automated ship' (referred to as 'sentinel auto' by people) built in. It also has some special tags.

Is there a way to spawn more in? or just editing the save to convert normal onslaught xiv to become one of those?
