Forum Suggestion: "Mods" subforum
« on: August 15, 2012, 12:33:39 PM »

I think it would be neat to add a subforum "MODS" under Modding, so that there can be a place to put all Mod Topics, separated from general modding questions and discussions. That could result in a better highlight for actual mods and add a way to better keep on track of all mod versions for forum guests.

Yep :) Thanks for the suggestion! Hadn't been thinking about it until I saw your post, but it's really past time. Kind of blows my mind to see how many mods there are.

Tiny suggestion: Wouldn't it be better to name mods "mod releases" or "complete mods"?

Well, it's really not just for "mod releases", and what mod is ever "complete"?

But it says "Released and downloadable mods." right in the description... and nothing else. What else would it be for?

That's a criteria for what mod threads will be moved there. But I'm not sure "mod releases" encompasses the point of a mod-related thread - it's also about feedback, and just general conversation about the mod.

Ah, I see, you're talking about in a thread.

I don't see why the name "mod releases" would make you think that the word excludes talking in a mod-related thread. I mean, there is a huge bunch of discussion in the threads in the "Announcements" sub-forum, isn't there? :P

Should we make new threads there or threads will be moved by moderators?

Threads will be moved by moderators - it's actually set so new threads can't be created there. It is a wee bit quiet in there at the moment :)

Glad to finally see this implemented, it was in desperate need of it.
