I never thought I would've seen the day the omen was awesome.  :D

Anyways, an omni-shield buffalo is actually able to... not be a missile-launching pile of wet tissue; even though I basically took a stock pirate one, ripped off a couple of the missiles, threw on the the shields, it was able to take out one of its prior peers unassisted without a scratch. Now its my 'poor-man's fire-support solution' that I feel safe letting the AI use, as being something other than merchant garbage.

Man the omen is so much better now but then aren't all the ships? just the omen benefits the most of any other ship.

also i'm loving the teleporter and skimmer they are so much fun. with the skimmer you can fly straight at an enemy so they turn to face you and then turn your ship around to point your back end at them and teleport past their ship so now your behind them with all your guns pointed at them :D this works incredibly well if you load up a Medusa or Hyperion or other skimmer system ship with a lot of strike weapons that go through armor/hull no problem. repeat until the ship is dead.

Yeah skimmer is so much win. I want an all skimmer fleet.  :D

Too bad you lose shields for a second, the hyperion doesn't exactly have this fancy 'armour'.

Yeah, discovered that the hard way after leaping behind a Onslaught and being all "lololololololol", then discovered it had rear mounted autocannons with insane range. That stuff hurts.

Nay! The teleport costs so much flux, that it wouldn't be wise coming up close to a battleship. I tried it in a 1v1 against a battleship with no systems, and i have to say, i lost.

You know, Upgradecap and Icepick talking about putting skimmers and teleporters on larger ships has got me into thinking... How nasty would an Onslaught be with Ammo Feeder?

...I'm going to go test.

Edit: Holy jesus. It is awesome. Impractical as hell, but you can crush a Dominator head on in seconds. If only all the weapons could face forward.

Hehehe, phase ships are fun... Been using the frigates to take out cruisers/destroyers/other frigates. Have yet to try taking on a capship.
