... are in focus while the game is minimised on Arch Linux using Gnome Display Manager.

Applications from whom the cursor is stolen:So far, I have not found any other application that does this, so I am inclined to deem Starsector responsible.

When it happens, the mouse cursor is styled as if Starsector itself was in focus and the application that is actually in focus does not receive any mouse inputs (not only no clicking but also no mouse-overs, etc.)

This problem has always existed and not been fixed.

For me (Ubuntu) the game captures the cursor all the time while it is running in fullscreen.
A "solution" (as described in the other post) is to use undecorated window mode, but the problem now is that it is not the same as the "Borderless windowed" mode that we know from other games. I.e. you can open your hiden Launcher on accident and the menu bar renders over the Starsector window.

The best solution here would be a functional "Borderless windowed" mode. Would then be similar to what you get when you press F11 (or whatever you fullscreen-keybind is) to make any window fullscreen windowed / borderless windowed. Sadly this functionality does not work for Starsector right now.
