I thought this was a normal update thing but seeing my friend play it and not have this made me realize something's up with my install.

Whenever I attacked a merchant fleet carrying foods, I think around .95, I would get some of the goods they were carrying. That stopped happening and I'm not sure why. Since I now know by someone else's gameplay that attack a merchant fleet should give me some of what their carrying, here we are. Anytime I attack a merchant fleet, no matter the faction, I only receive the weapons and an amount of goods relative to the ships destroyed, never any portion of the cargo being carried.

I checked the settings file to be certain and salavage amount is set to .75, specifically ""salvageCargoFraction":0.75" I have tried a full uninstall and reinstall of the program to no effect as well, and am not running any mods nor have ever run a single mod. So is this intended behavior or is something wrong with my files?

Hmm. Can you try manually deleting the installation folder (after copying off any saves etc) and installing again? Sometimes doing an uninstall isn't good enough, for Windows Reasons.

Okay that seems to have seems to have worked. Attacking a merchant vessel carrying organics actually had organics from him. Wish I'd known this was a glitch a year ago. I'll keep testing to see if it spawns on more traditional merchant fleets as well and add into here if I run into any problems.
