Collision with fast time ships works backwards? (video)
« on: September 01, 2024, 04:09:42 AM »

A nitpick, but when a large ship collides with a scarab in temporal shell, it accelerates towards the collision instead of stopping:

Ships in the video are vanilla, except temporal shell having extended duration.

Huh, I seem to remember to have one time rammed a Scarab with an Odyssey while plasma burning. Seemed to be ridiculously fast for a second or so, until the Scarab was pushed into the Fury behind it. Now I either misremember that, or this was exactly it. I guess ramming temporal shell shields puts the rammer in the tempral shell as well?

Weeell, you know, physics concepts like momentum can get a bit fishy when the fabric of creation is pried open and time itself is manipulated by unholy technologies :) ("How it works"; not entirely sure exactly why on this one - I'll keep it in mind in case I'm ever looking at that code for some reason.)

It makes stuff stick to fast-time ships: get it off me!

(Let's please keep the comments in the bug reports to things directly pertaining to bug reports only, per the board rules. But also, lol.)
