Hey man leave some QoL changes for the 1.0 /s

But honestly once again you're showing how much better the game will play on the upcoming release that I probably won't be playing the current version anymore until this one drops. Curse you for being a good game designer aaaaaaaaaaa!

Also one minor thing to suggest, you mentioned adding the Ctrl+S command and what it does in the intel screen. I get that such things appear in tips but could you maybe add all such "tricks" to the Codex. Like have a whole page dedicated to smart shortcuts or hotkeys. There's a ton of them in Starsector and even though tutorial pop ups mention most of them, people are forgetful, and it's always nice to have everything in one handy place.

These are all very needful things I've been wanting for a bit (especially the ability to see Solar Arrays on this screen), so I can't wait. It's good to see older parts of the interface like this getting TLC!

But man. I can hear the agony of not being able to talk about Current Cool Stuff in this post. :V Just getting more and more hype for whatever .98 turns out to be.

Real talk, I had a similar thought a few months back, like, should I be doing this now or wait for a later release? But I was on a roll, and sometimes it just makes sense to go with that!

Hah! :) but also :(

Yeah - I think I mentioned in the post that it's in the tips and also in the Codex. I'm not 100% on this, yet, but there's a provisonal "Spacer's Manual" section in the Codex that's meant to be sort of ... mid-level information. Not the absolute basics, and not very advanced stuff - trying to keep it short so it might actually get read. And it has a section ("Getting to know your Tripad") that mentions a bunch of UI things, including this one. But the problem is creating all the content and hitting the right level of "enough but not too much explanation" and so on, so I'm not fully committed to having it in; it's been on the backburner for a little while and I work on it here and there.

I seriously wish I could talk about it more, yeah. Will have to make some compromises about that, as always - can't just say nothing, if only for "need to tell people what's cool in the next release" reasons. But I was thinking that it might be fun to talk about some of the design aspects without getting into the specfics, at some point.

We've had this conversation before in the discussion of the Codex Overhaul blog post. So yeah I completely understand trying to hit the fine line for just enough information, and that was precisely the reason why I asked now about the hotkeys, since I remembered there'll be some explanations in the Codex, not just info about various combat aspects like ships, weapons, hullmods, etc.

I really really like that, especially highlighting specific keybinds for quick navigation. There's also Shift click to quickly add or remove capacitors and vents, and the shop interactions with Ctrl, Shift and Alt. And that's probably everything I can think of?

Alex, I love you so much.

Combining this with a 'guaranteed best planets spawn' mod I'm planning to make, this will 10000% make me stop rerolling the Sector until I spy something awesome in Persean Commercial Realty.

Nice to see the entire UI reach a higher and more consistent standard.

Re: Filtering Conditions.
The one condition that is a near-universal dealbreaker for me is Decivilized.  -2 stability and +25% hazard has never been worth it even on otherwise great planets in the games I played so far.

Does that also mean that old bug with Solar Mirror not showing in planet list was finally fixed and now can be seen in the search?

This is an excellent improvement t the planets screen. Yet more fantastic QoL improvments.

I have a two small (hopefully) requests:
1) Could we get the option to set the distances on the planets screen to be from somewhere other than where I am?
2) Could we gain the ability to Pin certain planets, to make checking back in on them later easier?

For both RP and management reasons, I really like to find a cluster of ideal or near-ideal worlds within a few lightyears of each other, ideally 5-7lys or less. This often means that I have several explored colony candidates that are missing a feature or two, while I explore the areas around them. I then end up travelling to each system a few times just tocheck distances between everything, which costs a lot of fuel and supplies. Thus being able to have the distances from a pinned candidate world would be icing on the metaphorical cake.

Looks good, though what do you think about moving the distance column to be right next to the location column? I feel like those two pieces of information go hand in hand, but right now they are weirdly separated.

At the very least, it can now be tracked!

The fifth and sixth screenshots seem to show the bug as not fixed yet, but the list can still detect the Solar Mirror state and you can track it that way using the filter.

What a coincidence, I was thinking about how planet search could be improved due to struggling to keep track of worlds with ruins in my current tech-mining centric run.

Speaking of which, could you add a "recently abandoned" condition to planets that were colonized and abandoned by players in the past? Specifically for those limited use tech-mining/waystation colonies.
