I absolutely love this mod. The ships are beautiful and the Spire fills an essential niche for High Tech I haven't seen any other high tech mod fill of aggressive capital pursuit anchor carrier (wow, that's specific). Super cool though.
That being said I think Equality could use a buff. I love the design and think it frankly looks cooler than a paragon, but mechanically/stats wise the Paragon kind of mogs it pretty hard. Equality is only 55 speed compared to Paragon's 50, and admittedly the adaptive thrusters do mean that the Equality can be a good bit faster and more maneuverable than the Paragon - although I think it's worth mentioning that the Quasar from Neoteric Designs has a mobility system that lets it be on par with the Equality speed-wise, if not a bit better at pursuit, while keeping the exact same paragon statline. And that statline looks pretty nasty in comparison to Equality - 7000 more hull, 400 more armor rating, .1 less shield flux per damage (though admittedly 350 more base shield upkeep), 4000 more base flux capacity, 100 more flux dissipation, 70 more OP, all for the same 60 supply cost per month. In addition, although the adaptive subsystem module is really cool and allows some tactical flexibility, the Bastion is a lot worse at tanking damage than the Fortress Shield and the Equality struggles to output the same amount of damage even with its Siege system; it does have 2 more large energy slots than the Paragon, and can usually fire four large energies at once which is great, but it loses a small energy slot, two forward facing medium universals and a whopping four medium energy slots. So as awesome as six large energy slots are the Paragon would still seem to have the edge in dakka output generally.
In conclusion, while the Equality is a very cool ship and a downright based flagship, the tactical flexibility offered by its adaptive subsystem doesn't feel like it's quite strong enough to make it competitive against a Paragon. I know the description says explicitly that it was designed to be a fleet anchor 'when paragons are unavailable or impractical' but as a player I don't think there's really any compelling mechanical reason to take an Equality over a Paragon, but there could be, with maybe just a little better baseline speed/maneuverability/flux management to realize its full potential as an 'anchor that can hunt'. Thanks for listening to my rambling about ship statistics and thanks again for making this awesome mod.
