Hi guys, this may sound dumb but,
anyone have a link to the old "bloated" version of this mod?

I upgraded and deleted my old HMI files, and now I really miss it.   I know some people didn't like it but,
There were things about the old version I loved.(weapons, factions).

Any help will be appreciated. =)

I was wondering which mod added the Grendel (P) and after searching my mod folder, found out it was this one. I'm kinda surprised it hasn't been mentioned here at all, since it's pretty cracked.

For the price of two small and medium ballistic mounts, you get a Grendel that is 4 DP cheaper and which is consistently available for cheap at any largeish black market. The smaller number of mounts actually works really well with the Grendel's OP and flux budget, and its combat stats are insane for a 14DP cruiser. Give it heavy armour and 3 HVD's, and it can go toe to toe against anything smaller than a Dominator, and two of them are terrifying. It's insanely efficient. Don't get me started on SO builds, it's pretty much optimized for it (if only the AI wasn't too timid to use it to its full potential).

It could probably do with a nerf, since its only drawback isn't much of a drawback, but right now I'm in love with the idea that some scrapyard mechanics accidentally improved this MistakeTM of a cruiser by breaking half of it. It's so appropriate for the Grendel.

java.lang.RuntimeException: Ship hull spec [afflictor_hmiai] not found!

I am getting this error out of no where! What happened? what do I have to do to fix it? The game loads is I remove HMI but I am on a long run that i want to finish.

it MIGHT be worth considering, as time goes on,
possibly bundling the removed groups into small optional files/addons, for the folks who liked poking at the extra stuff-
though its understandible if not, WOULD mean keeping more stuff in mind/maintained when making changes/updates..

You know playing around with the mod a bit longer I was wondering:  Why don't Fang Society or Draco Group make pirate bases like the base factions?  It makes them seem far more... passive and less villainous.

In a previous version I had them do this. People found it to be the most infuriating thing imaginable, as you'll be just cruising through space only to get unexpectedly and suddenly ganked by three huge fleets of Draco. I was asked me to get rid of it.


I do sorta feel like this ought to be made a lunalib option since having their own spawning behavior distinct from pirates would be useful since the more factions that you set to spawn as pirate bases the less individual factions can have multiple active.



Something else I feel is like the removed content could be made into a 4th mod, make it like "Maxwell's Emporium of Oddities" that contains most of the removed content for those who still desire to use it.

Hello ! I deleted the mod folder and reinstalled HMI again from scratch and it's working for me.
