Working as intended. They are supposed to be pulse engines, and have been like that for a long time.

Hey i think i found a Bug.

So i have the Virtous in my fleet. So after a fight where it got disabled i couldn`t recover it. Kinda sucks i only had it for an hour or so.

Is this how it is supposed to be?

Yes, the virtuous is unrecoverable if you lose it.

If you chose the supership start with it, that Virt will be unrecoverable if you lose it. I fixed it in dev tho so you should be fine when I release the next update

How do you guys deal with transporting capacity while exploring/raiding/trading? Do you just stuff in Atlases with augmented drive fields/tugs or something? At certain point Rime(F)s with its 600 cargo holds dont cut it anymore. (or whatever that demilitarized cruiser is called, cant check it right now)

I did a Diable run some time ago. Yes, basically, I was using about 8-10 Rime(F) with S-Modded Cargo and Fuel hullmods - it's the best Diable can get if you're sticking to faction-only. Makes sense - they are an aggressive raiding faction, not traders, and they are close to core, so they don't need that much range to haul spoils back. Extensive exploration is hard to do with their ships - you need gate network, or set up some pitstops to refuel/store stuff temporarily (Outposts feature from Nexerelin is helpful here). Or grab a Prom/Atlas instead if you don't mind using non-faction ships.

Not saying this is conclusive, but playing after some hiatus and never seen DA roll over everybody before. And I havent even helped them. I was dealing with story line and then with babysitting my colonies through new crisis system.

But as I said, it is just one game. I will play as Mayasura after that and see how it goes. It is just that in no other games (year ago) they managed to challenge Hege and stomp them

Autoresolve only considers fp, not actual ship performance. DA being strong in campaign layer is more likely a product of OP Sivie, low profile trait, and multiple military bases.

If you ever want an opponent that not even the Heg can handle try the Hivers mod.  They're an even more terrifying juggernaut than the old aggressive Legio.

I am looking for exact oposite actually :) . I like balanced vanilla friendly mods. Thats why I was concerned DA might be overtuned, but they are not. I love their style of ships/fighters, their color scheme and all, but balance means a lot for me. Right now DA and Mayasurans are the only faction mods I play with.

That being said, Ashford is a bit crazy in player´s hand thanks to its mobility. Fortunately AI is incapable to use it to swipe in for kill and then swipe out to flux, so it is fine.

I'm curious, do the old skin packs work still with this new version? It's been quite some time since I played.

(On a different question, is if the Maelstrom is now part of blueprints for the faction, I remember last time I played I couldn't make my own).
