Just press the print screen to get a screen shot. The screen shot should be saved in starsecto/screenshot folder.

If you want to snip and cut, you can press windows button+shift and s to bring out windows snipping tool that you can make for a focus cut. This is just the basic though, im sure you can use software for a more elegant display of the mod.

so...today I noticed a new beam weapon in my inventory that I got at 'somewhere' (random drop, not even sure), was curious about it. and confused. tried it out. mega 'wtf' moment. tracked it down, here I am.

The 'Nullifier Beam' has a base 2500 dps, takes 0 OP to equip, has very low flux cost, has no cooldown, and is worth 10m. (also saw a nullifier gun, similar case)

This...shouldn't be acquirable normally, should it? feels like a cheaty dev weapon. or...a megaboss's weapon. Why is it missing the no drop/sell tags?

Sorry, that indeed is my bad. :-[ This is supposed to be a non-droppable final boss weapon for the new quest line in the next update. I didn’t give it any special tags for test purposes. Then I forgot to add those special tags back when uploading it to the GitHub. This bug will be corrected in the next update.

kidding aside, looking forward to -eventually- (maybe) fighting whatever has those weapons. though at the rate I play that may take a veeeery long time.

I do not know the best place to contact you, i have written to you before on Reddit about the Grammar in this mod. You seemed to be receptive to feedback so i decided to try and help. If you do not mind, i will post some text corrections that i think would improve the reading experience of players with this mod. If there are any better ways to contact you for any further corrections and you are receptive to them, i would be glad to help out.

(Text after defeating the DPL merc attack and contacting Eliza Lovelace)

Eliza looks quite shocked: "I'm sorry to hear about that, and as the Director of the Phase Lab, i have to apologize that i was not able to stop such horrible deeds enough. I would take immediate actions, and if you have evidences, please share them with me. That would greatly help the investigations."

(Correction)

Eliza looks quite shocked "Apologies, as the Director of Phase Lab I should have been able to prevent this. I will take immediate action to stop these attacks. If you have any evidence or knowledge of the perpetrators I would like you to share them with me, they would greatly help our investigation into this matter"

("Do you have any work for me" dialogue prompt from the player (Eliza Lovelace)

"One of our agents is in trouble, and i need someone to extract him. Our newly founded intelligence department got ideas about where he is. I cannot send a fleet to complete such mission because the committee does not agree that an agent worths the danger of damaging our relations with religious groups. So i need some independent friends to do it for me, and if you may lend a hand, it would be a big favor to our intelligence department"

(Correction)

"One of our agents is in trouble, and I need someone to extract him. Our Intelligence Department knows his current location but i cannot dispatch one of our fleets to extract him due to the committee not wanting to damage our relations with the Luddics over a single agent. Because of that, I need someone independent to do this. If you lend a hand, you would have my gratitude and that of our Intelligence Department.

(Talking to Ross Higgs about giving her marines)

You can see tiredness in her eyes, but she looks a little bit happier than usual: "I'm glad to hear that, player. Let's get straight to the point, we are talking about hundreds of marine units, and i'm always happy to purchase them at the price of 215 credits per unit.

Your rewards are a part of our budget, and so you don't have to pay tax for this. The Phase Lab would remember your help to strengthen our defensive marine forces, and i would personally appreciate your efforts as well."

(Correction)

(The player response after leaving the conversation with Ross Higgs after having no more marines)

"Sorry, i don't have enough marines to draw your interest for now." (Correction) "That will be all"

(Ross Higgs response after giving her marines and leaving the conversation)

"I see, player. Many thanks for your time." She closes her eyes: "You remembered our needs, and you are making efforts, please always feel free to ask."

She sighs: "And now, i have to go back to work. It's nice talking to you, player, see you next time."

The comm-link terminates, leaving you with the crest of the Phase Lab Engineering Department.

(Correction)

"I see, player. Thank you for your time." She closes her eyes: "You remembered our need and are making an effort to assist us, please, always feel free to contact us again."

She sighs: "I have to go back to work now. It was nice talking to you, player, see you next time."

The comm-link terminates, leaving you facing the crest of the Phase Lab Engineering Department.

(Offering matcha to Ross)

"Oh, matcha, for me?" Ross looks surprised, she pauses for a moment, and then smiles: "Thank you, player, you make such a nice offering, and i would remember this. I'll definitely enjoy this, and 1 unit is good enough for me. It'll take me weeks to consume all of it."

(Correction)

"Oh, is that matcha, just for me?" Ross looks surprised, she pauses for just a moment and then smiles warmly: "Thank you, player, it is a really nice gesture and i definitely won't forget it. I just need 1 unit, it will last me for weeks."

(After transfering macha)

Ross appreciates you for your kind offerings, and she looks quite happy. (Correction) Ross looks quite happy and appreciates your kind gift.

(Offering tea to Ross Higgs again without waiting)

"Thank you for your kind offer, player," Ross looks happy, yet tired as usual: "I still have some matcha left, and i don't want to waste such precious goods. Maybe next time?"

(Correction)

"Thank you for your kindness, player, but i still have some matcha left and would not have the room to store any more of it. Maybe come back later?"

(Going to Lab Security Department after dealing with the DPL merc attack)

As your fleet approaches Security Department, you received a message from an unknown individual, it contains an encrypted address arranged for the "colony negotiator", and will delete itself after a short time. It seems that whoever sends this message to you really want to keep everything a secret.

(Correction)

As your fleet approaches the Security Department, you receive a message from the planet below, it contains an encrypted message from an unknown individual meant for the "colony negotiator" containing the address to be visited. The message deletes itself mere minutes after it was read. It seems that whoever sent it wanted to keep everything in secret.

(Visiting the "colony negotiator" address)

You ordered a shuttle to visit the address. It's a luxurious lobby, and you are lead to a small room hidden in the deep corner by a robot servant.

(Correction)

You take a shuttle to the address provided by the message after securely attaching a recording device given to you by your ops officer. After entering the building you find yourself inside a luxurious lobby, it does not take long for a robotic servant to draw your attention and lead you to a small room hidden in one of the deep corners of the lobby

(Continuing this conversation)

It's a small room with a desk and two chairs. A man sits across the desk, and he stares at you: "Greetings, player, I'm glad that finally you noticed my invitation. I'm Rear Admiral Weierstrass Goldberg, and i'm a committee member. So, what brings you here today?"

(Correction)

The room you are lead into contains only a desk and two chairs on either side of it. A chair on the farther side of the room is already occupied by what seems to be a military official, considering his uniform. You sit on the other side of him while he continues to stare at you: "Greetings, player, I'm glad that you received my invitation. I'm Rear Admiral Weierstrass Goldberg, one of the members of the committee. So, what brings you here to me on this fine day?

(Answer)

"You know about it. I'm here for my colonies." (Secretly record this meeting as evidence) (Correction) "I assume that you know, considering the invitation." (Secretly turn on the camera)

"Well then, let's get straight to the business, shall we? I noticed that your colonies are becoming your burdens, and I'm happy to help you," Weierstrass laughs: "And here is the deal, i would like to purchase your largest colony with heavy industry or orbital works for 1,000,000 credits."

(Correction)

" Do i? Well, you are right that i invited you for a reason. You see, I noticed that some of your colonies have become quite burdensome, with various pirate attacks and such plaguing them. Being the good natured person that I am, i decided to help you out in this matter. I am willing to purchase your largest colony with heavy industry or orbital works for 1,000,000 credits. Think about it, you would get paid and would not need to be burdened with having to defend such a juicy target"

(Response number 2)

"So, you are the one who tries to blackmail me." (Correction) "Are you trying to blackmail me?"

(Weierstrass response)

"Player, I'm here to make a deal with you, not to listen to your pointless complaints," He stares at you, and smiles icily "It's not very wise for you to accuse me, a Phase Lab committee member, without evidence."

(Correction)

"Blackmail? No, player, all i am doing is offering you a deal, nothing more." He stares at you, smiling icily "It is not very wise to accuse a Phase Lab committee member of such things without any evidence, why, one might perceive such a thing as trying to incite hostilities."

(Response number 2)

"Well, i defeated your single fleet, and i got evidence from them." (Make a lie and give him pressure) (Correction) "Well, i happened to capture a captain of one of these "pirate" fleets" (Lie and pressure him)

(Weierstrass response)

"One fleet? You are naive, player, there should be 6 or 7 more," He laughs: "And evidence? That's impossible, those are not just ordinary mercs, and mercs like you could never understand their loyalty. You are just lying, player,  and lying is not going to work."

(Correction)

Just for a moment Weierstrass mask cracks and he looks genuinely angry: "Thats impposible, those men and women are loyal and would never...!" The mans eyes widen, but he quickly recovers and starts smiling again: "I do not know who you think you have caught, but they have no connection to me that you can prove, and if you indeed had such hard evidence we would not be talking here. I'm sorry to say, player, but lying to me is not going to work".

(Response)

"And you have just admitted that you ordered those attacks." (Correction) "It seems that it has already, you just admitted a connection to those "pirates""

(Weierstrass response)

"You are certainly tricky, player," He stares at you: "But let me address again that I'm a committee member, and mercs like you are not even qualified to receive my contact info. So just tell me, are you taking the deal or not."

(Correction)

"Even if i have, it changes nothing, but i will congratulate you nonetheless," Weierstrass claps his hands sarcastically a few times: "Regardless, do remember that i am a committee member, i am quite busy and i do not associate with lowlifes like you. So, will you make my deal, or not?"

(Response 2)

"No, i don't want to deal with you" (Correction) "I refuse"

(Weierstrass response)

"In that case, player," He stares at you: "You have just given up your only hope to save your credits. But I'm still generous enough to offer you this deal whenever you really understand the situation."

The robot servant guides you out of the meeting room, and your shuttle is waiting for you.

(Correction)

"Well, in that case, player," He rises from his seat: "You cannot say that i was not being generous in my offer, in fact, since i am still feeling charitable, you may contact me again through my secretary when you finally grasp the gravity of this situation"

The robot servant guides you out of the meeting room. You exit the building, and go towards your shuttle.



Apologies for the long text, i did not want to stop once i got into the rhytm of things. As you might have noticed i rewrote parts of the meeting with Weierstrass with what i felt would keep the same ideas behind the meeting while the text would flow a bit better and more in-line with the meetings that already exist in Vanilla Starsector. I hope this is not too much and that you are willing to take this feedback, but even if not, there are no problems.

So, nullifier guns and nullifier beams are omnipresent as mentioned before.
But now I also randomly found a Nano Swarm blueprint.

You probably should really check your weapon tags.

Minor Update: Domain Phase Lab Version 1.6.2

Mission Adjustment: Rewrote all the mission Texts for the main menu missions. They are now more readable and also closer to vanilla stories.
Game Mechanics Adjustment: Refined the stories for the colony crisis. They are now more readable and also closer to vanilla writing style.
Game Mechanics Adjustment: Now Ross has some new chatty stuffs. You can ask her different questions at different relation level just like Eliza.
Campaign Mission Adjustment: Refined the writings for some of the campaign missions, now they are closer to the lore.
Ship Adjustment: Changed the ship sprites of the ship 'Flumpet'.
Ship Adjustment: Nerfed the ship 'Trombone'. Now it takes 25 DP instead of 24.
Wing Adjustment: Nerfed the wing 'Agolo'. Now it costs 18 OP instead of 15, has 250 flux capacity instead of 300, and takes 6 seconds to reborn instead of 5.
Weapon Adjustment: Adjusted the weapon 'Lightning Projector'. Now it takes 6 seconds to refire instead of 2. But its range is 750 instead of 650.
Weapon Adjustment: Adjusted the weapon 'Heavy Lightning Projector'. Now it takes 3 seconds to refire instead of 2. But its range is 750 instead of 700.
Weapon Adjustment: Adjusted the weapon 'Song of Time'. Now it causes 3000 damage instead of 1000, its special effect causes 100% real damage instead of 300%, and this special effect can only be triggered if the projectile hits on hull, hitting on shields now only generates lightning arcs dealing 25% of its damage.
Hullmod Adjustment: Nerfed the hullmod 'Logistic Center'. Now it takes 25 OP for cruisers and 35 OP for capitals.
Bug Fix: Fixed a bug that randomly spawns in-dev weapons for new quest-related challenges everywhere.

This hot fix is compatible with saves generated by version 1.6.0. No new save is necessary.

This mod causes the game to crash on sector generation during the economy generation with the error ERROR com.fs.starfarer.combat.CombatMain java.lang.RuntimeException: Texture [portrait_pirate03] from category [characters] not found I only have this mod enabled. Seems to be related to the new update 1.6.2.

Hey, I love your mod. Its great to have an interesting story in the game. But I have been trying to find an Abyss light for around 3 hours now to no luck. I'm not sure if I am missing something in the mod or I am misunderstanding the instructions. One of my mods might be interfering as well. But I have no idea where to go from here.
