Displaying starmap without the grid lines

Can we have the ability to toggle grid lines on/off in sector map view? Or a modding API method to do so?

The maps look so aesthetically pleasing without the grid:

This looks really good! Almost an accessibility feature at this point. Hope something like this gets implemented.

My minimap feature in RAT would most definitly benefit from being able to disable the lines/from the user being able to disable them.

If this gets implemented as an option, but my suggestion of an option to enable a player character officer portrait for flagship in normal combat view does not, I'm going to be very sad  :(

No offense to the OP intended  ;) because I'm all for more player options!

I've been using this along with the StarMap Rework which also removes grid lines of the local map, and i doubt i can ever go back!

looks oddly tranquil, but I prefer the grid. Having an option to hide it just like names, etc. would be cool though.
