One of my officers seems to be stuck at level 5 and does not gain experience, despite being in combat and me having taken officer training, and officer UI showing they are not at max level and should be able to gain experience. My other officers have reached level 6. It might be a pod officer, but I thought they should be able to level up past level 5 if you take officer training?

Hmm, I don't actually remember how that is supposed to work for level 5 pod officers, but if it was capped, it should at least show that the level is maxed. Would you mind emailing me the save?

Thank you for the save! Hmm, I'm not seeing the issue - the officer (the one in the Gryphon, right?) has an XP bar full of unspent bonus XP and if I deploy them in a fight and win it, they gain XP normally and can level up.

I think it might be a UI bug. I see the notification pop up that he gained experience, and when I paid attention I think I saw the xp number increase inside, but the bar still looks empty. I think the bar is just not updating the reflect the current xp.

Hmm, that's strange - I tried one fight from the save you've sent and the bar visibly moved. I guess it's possible the save was right at the threshold of when it started moving up again, though! Good to be aware this is a possible issue, I'll keep an eye out for it.

I played another fight after I sent you the save and the bar still appears empty. I'll see what happens when the XP reaches the level up amount.

I'm having the same issue and I think I found the problem: some of my lvl 5 officers that I have found in pods (but not all of them) are lvl 5 but have 0 xp. A level 5 officer should start at 448000 xp and reach lvl 6 at 648000 if I am getting the numbers right. Some of my newly acquired lvl 5 pod officers start from 0xp, which is why the bar appears empty, since the bar only shows progress between lvl 5 and 6. They still have 5 skills, out of which 1 is elite, so everything else seems to be working.
Like I said, i've only encountered two officers with this problem, out of maybe 10 that I've found in pods.

I am playing with mod Officer Extension, and some others like Nex.

Ahhh, thank you! Yeah, that's definitely the issue; about half (on average, looks like you got lucky) would have 0 XP. Fixed!

I'm pretty sure that I have the same issue with pod officer starting from 0 XP, I haven't checked it earlier but at some point he had 200k/600k and now he has 300k/600k. So not sure if the issue with 0 XP lvl 5 officers is fixed. Save is vanila + detailed combat results mod, 0.97a-RC11. I can email a save file if needed

Thank you for the report! This is fixed for the upcoming release, not for the current version.
