Falcon (P). Four medium missile slots on a reasonably maneuverable cruiser should scratch the itch nicely. Alternatively, the Atlas mk II has two large missile slots for the new large pilum launchers, with plenty of ballistic slots for various sizes of PD if you wish.
Falcon (P): IMHO does not really work out.
The medium launchers reload slower than the large ones, and the st00pid ship always runs in to pew-pew at red ships with its PD guns. So the 4000 range is mostly wasted, and the pilums can't get through shields or armour, but the ship does neither stay back from the front line nor does it fire at backline ships which might be venting and have damaged armour.
Not that the
snails missiles would get there in time anyway.
At least the movement behaviour is already fixed in the dev version, but targeting will still be an issue.
If you are fine with issuing targeting orders to your ships often (maybe running command center?), it might work ... somewhat.
