Gamma, obviously. Per lore (and we even see this in one of the possible missions), an AI core of beta grade or above is capable of perfectly simulating a human-seeming conversation partner, including both video and audio.

(Well, that, or Midnight Dissonant is deliberately choosing to come off as alien, in which case who knows.)
