The bombing drones are too overpowered, they do too much damage for how armoured and fast they are.
it made some ships that aren't completely covered by shields redundant, since the drones ignore the shields and bomb the armour ass backwards at a massive speed.
There is no inertia in on the bombs which is pretty infuriating .
Everything is otherwise great, but some of the OP planes are a deal breaker.
Yeah, in retrospect, the normal drone bombers are, ironically compared to their "super" version, far too strong. I did want them to be a sort of point-blank carpet bomber and gave them some speed to compensate, but it's apparent that they'll need the most tuning. Will likely see them receive a nerf to armor and speed to really hammer in their niche.
Curious question, how are the rest of the strikecraft? Including the redacted one?
The speed makes it hard shoot down, but it hits well and the speed makes it pretty unique. The missile projectile itself is lackluster, for how fast the bomber is travelling, the missile seemingly hit the space-airbrakes and lazily maneuvers towards the target. For a strikecraft's flight path to go behind enemy ships it does need something for survivability, ballistic PD has a hard time hitting it.
The redacted fighter doesn't perform very consistently. Either it annoys the crap out of you and is very hard to kill, or it doesn't end up doing much for 30 OP, usually it's a very survivable craft.
Haven't used the manned fighters much due to sticking to drone but experiment with them more extensively.
Also the 6 OP small energy pd is very good, easily overmatching other small energy weapons not just PD. However, it does make small energy PD feel useful as a weapon slot.
