Defeating Ordo with 1 Eagle (LG) using a black hole
« on: June 22, 2023, 01:30:11 AM »

So, it turns out that this trick actually works and you can make the faster Ordos follow you into a black hole if
1) You have a large enough sensor profile that they can see you even in the event horizon
2) It is a fast ordo so no Radiants
and of course 3) You have a high danger system with a black hole.

With S-modded Solar Shielding your ship is immune to the danger.

I made a video about this here, this fight netted me 7.5 million exp.

Godamn, I think better of the IR Autolance after watching that.

Also what's that thing beside the Janus Device at 5:12?

Something I carry around with me just in case. To find one of your own, go talk to a Luddic Path station manager and ask about a more permanent solution to your disagreements.

Hmm since they don't really have much shields...what about something like an Apogee? I imagine HIL and IR Autolance ought to be fun, along with Locusts and such.

Anything with s-mod solar shields would probably work but LG ships can s-mod it in without it counting towards the s-mod limit.

IR autolance has always been good - 500 dps frag is basically 125dps against armour or shields. That's better than the graviton beam against armour as it is, and with the way armour damage is calculated with beams is pretty solid generally.

(On a totally unrelated note, ahem - it's been long overdue, but I finally made some improvements to fleet AI about avoiding black holes in the first place, and using Emergency Burn if somehow still stuck in one!)

Hahah! Alex took away the nebula combat environmental hazard, but we still have this!

Environmental effects are dead, environmental effects will never die!

I have faith that this'll still be doable somehow.
