You have to press download on the file, and open it with winrar or 7zip (which i packed it with).

And i double-checked the file. It's full.

Can you guys quickly check somehow that the background is now transparent? i downloaded paint.net and used the magic wand to delete the background. Here's hoping its worked!

Ahh, i didn't realize you used 7zip, opened it and am about to go play it

Also, the background is still there, now it's not

You need to save it as a png.

A ) because Starfarer uses png files (jpegs might still work though, would just look very weird
B ) Because jpegs don't support transparency
