 i found a bug
engine displacement to be precise.
just forgot the ship name....
its a wing of ferrus mining drones , it comes in four.

maybe make it so that ferrus and the independents do not have the same color  ;)

found a huge bug!
ferrus ships costs almost nothing
destroyer of 45 credits  :D

another one!

ferrus ships with one crew capacity and skeleton crew

independent station doesnt have any ships to sell?

just one more thing to say.... SUPER TANKER FTW!!!

The recruitment gives you CR per month plus a bonus for each enemy fleet destroyed, i would think. LazyWizard knows these details better than me, so go ask him :)

Yeah, we need a way to explain this all in-game. Someone should bump that 'Codex Lore Section' suggestion thread. :)

You join a faction by buying the recruitment poster in their station (it currently doesn't have custom graphics, so it looks like a supply crate). You'll be inducted the next day if you meet the requirements (currently, only that you aren't enemies with that faction).

Once you have joined a faction, you will be paid at the start of each month. Your base salary is based on your current rank in that faction. Your bonus is calculated based on the relationship change with that faction's enemies (since there's no way to tell when you've killed an enemy fleet at the moment), and you can also receive penalties if you get into fights with your employer's allies. The paycheck message each month gives a detailed breakdown, so you'll know if you are doing something wrong.

Rank is currently calculated by lifetime bonus pay. I think you need to earn 10,000 * current rank, but I'd have to check the code. Max rank is 5, and the only bonuses rank grants at the moment are more pay and a very small boost to faction relationship. We are planning on expanding this to include restricting certain ships to higher ranks, but that didn't make it into this version.

One last thing, you can be kicked out of a faction if your relationship with them goes negative. Since there's currently no way to gain that favor back, it's permanent.

Nope, still doesn't work.   But the very odd part is, if I run the windows version, caelus loads up just fine.  And I have no problem loading ironclads on the mac version.

Hi there, I can't seem to get this to work I used the top link and extracted to the mods folder and I keep getting an error ERROR com.fs.starfarer.combat.D  - org.json.JSONException: JSONObject["styleSpec"] not found. I'm kinda new at this so I have no ideas how much of the log you need. as posting the whole log is not an option I cut out what I thought were unnecessary.

The only thing I constantly notice is it keeps calling itself demo 5 and that could be the whole issue....

Thank you in advance for any help you may be able to provide

Just downloaded caelus for the first time, but starfarer won't even load with it :/  Running the mac version if that matters

I downloaded the rar version and tried that too, but it produced the same error.  The file it crashed on does exist in /data/icons/cargo/sensorpackage.png though..  and I can open the file outside the game.     

Right, I've had a look and I think I know what the problem may be. If you go into your <directory>\Fractal Softworks\Starfarer\mods\CAELUS\data\campaign, and open up the resources.csv file you should be greeted with


Just change the backslashes on the icon field to forward slashes in all instances. I recall reading somewhere that things like this, Macs and Linux systems were more picky about. I hope this helps sort the problem out.

You could be right, I'll try that later! thanks!

I was having fun playing the mod.  But I think I found a minor bug.  The Eagle Assault Wing fighter has accelerated shield and stabilized shields for hull mod, but it doesn't seem to actually have a shield in its stats.
