It was near the very start of a game, I had just left one of the stations (I don't know the exact name) and was headed elsewhere when the game suddenly crashed. I think it might have been when one of the first re-supply fleets arrived at their station, but I don't really know. I would give more information if I had it.  :-\

Oh, and one more thing, sirboomalot. Did you actually just overwrite the folder, or delete the old folder and install this one? if not, then you have to delete your old folder and then install this one. Overwriting will give you some serious errors.

That is really, really weird. Try perhaps starting a new campaign again? Looking at the code here, i don't see how that error could've come, hmmm.

Never had anything like that happen on quite an extensive campaign of a version only a few hours older than what's been released here. You not edited anything, even by accident have you? Like Upgrade said, have you tried starting again? Sometimes weird things like that happen on a one-off. In fact, in my playthrough I have encountered quite a few of those very fighters and dispatched them with no problems, so it is really strange that there's something up with them on your side.

Another likely stupid question, but are you running any other mods alongside Caelus? I very much doubt it, but standard tech-supportish questions, etcetera

Just downloaded caelus for the first time, but starfarer won't even load with it :/  Running the mac version if that matters

I downloaded the rar version and tried that too, but it produced the same error.  The file it crashed on does exist in /data/icons/cargo/sensorpackage.png though..  and I can open the file outside the game.

If this is correct, it seems simple enough to solve - move the .png around to the right directory

edit: Just got the CAELUS(demo 6 for launch).rar, (windows version)a few things:

1454781 [Thread-6] ERROR com.fs.starfarer.combat.String  - java.lang.RuntimeException: [oppressor_wing] is not a valid fighter wing id
java.lang.RuntimeException: [oppressor_wing] is not a valid fighter wing id
1)the id in the wing data is 'opressor_wing', with the variant being 'IND_opressor_Fighter' - may have something to do with it there.

2)What's up with the hulls.rar, hullmod.txt, and hulls folder in the first mod directory?

The files that are in the main folder are just some remains after coding that i forgot to remove.

The issue with the oppressor wing shouldn't exist. I've double checking the files that are most responsible for having that wing, and nothing. i am going to check a few other files, though.

And that issue with the sensorpackage having it's files in the wrong dir is a very weird one.  Does it crash on startup?

huh, that is really, really weird. Must be either the game engine reading something wrong because of totally new code which has so far been untested, or some other freak incident ;)
