I have created a complete pack of 64 alternative illustrations for the game.
These replace the background images shown at various times, such as exiting hyperspeed, surveying a planet or wreckage etc.

I don't want to spoil the surprise of discovering all of the new images, but for reference have added a small sample image as an attachment to this message below. The forum compresses images rather agressively, rest assured that all images are high quality.

All images were generated with Stable Diffusion and then edited in Affinity Photo.

Will this only replace the original pictures or is there a chance we can make it shuffle so for variety in interactions?

This mod is visual only and replaces all of the 64 default images with new versions, it doesn't change the code in any way.
