As of the current build it's possible to colonize any planet in the game and rename them at will, but even if you've got an entire constellation on lockdown the stars will always be named things like Delta Sonora or Alpha Chad or Beta Cuckoo without any opportunity to customize them. A suggestion, then, that non-Core Worlds systems that you have colonized at least one planet in can be given custom names.

Definitely seconding this.  I can rename planets with a click, I can dive into stars and create new stable points, but somehow I can't rename a star.  It's even worse if you're playing with mods.  Somehow every mod faction has a thematic name for their star systems, but I'm not allowed to change mine.
