Sorry if this is a commonly asked question but where can the megastructures be found? Is it spawned on randomly generated systems or constructed from research?

Really been enjoying my playthrough with this mod (skipped Questions of Loyalty as I was not planning on using a commission) -

Some feedback:

Minor bugs/unclear mechanics (I was on 1.2.0, I see 1.2.1 is out so maybe some/all of these are fixed):
- The Bulwark Foundry claims a cost of 40 Domain Machinery and 200 Refined Metal but it only appears to cost the 40 Domain Machinery while constructing. Unsure if there are other cases with megastructure costs not lining up.
- Debris Fields from Domain Era Research Facilities combats end up halfway to the star (I've noticed this issue in RAT as well, so it might be a mod API or Starsector related bug?).
- Trying to use the Bifrost Network while a gate is being constructed results in a NullPointerException.

Suggestions:
- I think it would be better if the Domain Era Research Facilities had more varying sizes and difficulties. Making small/medium/large with varying sizes of enemy fleets and rewards would make earlier exploration more rewarding, since with a fleet that can handle most other exploration challenges (e.g. derelict remnants/pirate fleets) you just miss out on a lot of the planets.
- I would prefer to see a planet condition for (cleared) research facilities in the intel view, similar to how Random Assortment of Things has the ruins after you scan. It's annoying to look to colonize them if you already cleared them, since you need to match the planet name to a different page of the intel screen.

DELETE ALL AQUACULTURE AND FISHERY

-Bring a lot of balance changes to industries (not all of them yet)
-Deleted fishery
-In its place : Fishing Harbor
-Updated 2 industry sprites , Fishing Harbor and Mining Megaplex
-Fixed few stuff related to building UI by making BMO as dependency

Some feedback: VOK archive should not have 3 mods in in it (VOK, ashlib, building menu overall) and should be just VOK, like it is the case with all mods. I'm playing on linux, and extract all mods via "unar ~/path/to/mod". And it works every archive always had just one mod but since VOK archive has three they were all put nested in a folder named just like archive minus the extension (that's what unar does if an archive has multiple top level files) so "Ashes of  The Domain- Vaults of Knowledge" (btw you have double space after "of" and no space before "-"). And of course the game doesn't recognize mods nested like this. I should have noticed VOK missing from mods in the game launcher but I didn't. My guess is I can't just add VOK midgame and have to start over. If VOK archive just had VOK it would just notify me about missing dependencies (ashlib and building overhaul) that I would have downloaded.

I found a problem with Questions of Loyalty, I have the topmost rank among the hegemony, and have built a research facility on colonies i've settled, but the Research stockpile to put the data banks in doesn't show up.  Can you fix this or is this intentional? Basically, I think even though I have built a facility on the planets, I can't actually stock it because it don't count as mine

It would be great if doing missions like "survey planet" would add to your commission level like trading and combat does. You're doing work for your faction after all. :)

The Question of Loyalty module has a soft incompatibility with any mods that add mechanics specifically related to player colonies, such as events related to the player's production of specific commodities, or magiclib achievements related to, for example, installing colony items in your colony.

I'm not sure how important it is for the colony related features to have the colonies owned by your commissioned faction instead of yourself, but at the very least having the option to disable your commissioned faction 'taking' your colonies in the config would be good to have for anyone running into problems due to not technically owning their colonies.

i love this mod a bunch and just made an account to ask for some help with it (running with AOtD and all of it's expansions, as well as a few other mods, namely Nexerelin and )
i'm trying to do a quest right now for Nexerelin involving the

Remnant, speficically the quest named "Fragments"

, and it requires me engaging with a tri-tachyon fleet, the faction that i am currently in a commission with. however Question of Loyalty stops you from being able to engage in same-faction combat
is there any way that i can bypass this warning?

i can hold off completing the quest for now, it isn't timed until i complete a certain objective, which i saved before doing
if need be i'll include my full modlist, but if anyone knows if there's a config file for Question of Loyalty, or some workaround to this issue save from leaving my faction (which would be VERY economically taxing), please let me know

Having the same problem as the others, CTD when trying to enter a starsystem with the Nidalevir Complex in it.

Another reason why QoL should not be preventing you from attacking same-faction fleets:

Fleet is hostile, can't engage, only option is to disengage with a story point. If I didn't have any story points remaining this would be a soft-lock.

If anyone wants to force-engage a fleet that is being locked by AoTD, the following console command will add a clickable engage option to the dialog panel:
