4x linked Salamander on Drover seems to work nice. I originally put 2x Sabot + 2x Harpoon and 4x Sabot on them, but they would never fire the Sabots.
Vigilance seems to work better with Salamander instead of Pilum, while still being sufficiently stand-off-ish to not just get run down.
(Originally tried Typhoon Reaper but they always went too close and were killed with conventional weaponry. Sabot would be better for the hardpoints, but is wasted on the system.)
... Those two come to mind, and both are currently "okay but meh". Will probably not make it into the endgame fleet, but they can be easily acquired in the build-up phase.
FWIW: Using sporadic Salamanders is useless, because their elaborate flight path will take them in places where all the PD has no other targets in range. One must deploy some "critical mass" at once or nearly at once to see effects. But when they do work, I quite like how they separate single ships from the main blob. Helps a lot with overcoming the own fleet's "anxiety" while the enemy is calculated as "stronger".
