I can’t figure out this capital. Anyone having luck? It’s too slow to engage and somehow also doesn’t have enough range. I just get wrecked by every other capital and frigates just sit behind me and I can’t do a thing about it. It also fluxes out really fast considering it has no shields. I dunno I love how it looks but so far is completely useless.

Care to tell us WHICH capital you are talking about?

If you mean the Nostalgia-class/"the one with craploads of flak cannons on its sides", I'm trying to figure that out too.  It's built as a broadsider, but it doesn't come in like a broadsider should - the best case scenario would be peppering things with frag damage and when the shields drop it hits the system and unloads a salvo of HE, but that doesn't happen.  Currently I figure its best use would be to counter wolfpacks: Owing to how the armaments are, it doesn't quite succumb to the main weakness of most capital ships (i.e. being flanked from multiple sides by smaller, quicker ships) and it can just punch down and shred anything that approaches it from anything in a 270 degree radius.  Goathead is midline-ish, so the Nostalgia has a specific role.  It's just that the role isn't fighting other capitals.

The mod in general feels like it needs a pass or two to tweak some things.  I've been wanting to dink around with more elaborate testing and feedback but I'm waiting on a response from MrMagolor before I commit.

Ya I didn't know the name but that's the one. Ya at one point I was being slowly killed by a single Hyperion... I mean whatever that's not a real problem as I should have had an escort. But ya it needs something. At LEAST better flux it would seem, so it can like you said at least keep things at bay. I haven't tried the rest of the faction much. I'm not playing as them they are just in my game and I happen to get a wreck with 2 s-mods on it. I'll keep messing around but a bit disappointed as its such an awesome looking ship.

On Linux in graphics/goat/hullmods the file goat_Dhelix.png should be renamed to goat_dhelix.png
in Goat_Aviation_Bureau/data/weapons these files goat_Boxer001.wpn, goat_Boxer002.wpn, goat_Boxer003.wpn and goat_Boxer004.wpn must have their turretSprite and hardpointSprite paths fixed from graphics/goat/weapons/decorative/goat_Boxer/ to graphics/goat/weapons/decorative/goat_boxer/
to avoid crash

I've found the ships in this mod to be pretty underwhelming, but they are very beautiful and I prefer underwhelming to overpowered anyway.

Hello, just have a few file/dir name case sensitivity issues that cause the mod to not work on linux. Manually changing the file/dir names solves the issue, but if these changes could eventually make their way in that would be appreciated:

Goat_Aviation_Bureau/graphics/goat/hullmods/goat_Dhelix.png  >  goat_dhelix.png

Goat_Aviation_Bureau/graphics/goat/weapons/decorative/goat_boxer/  >  goat_Boxer/
