This is really cool, i also don't think the "rip artists" statement is right, because this mod adds art to places where there wasn't, and doesn't intrude on any human artist. Wherever AI art has been prominent until now, we've seen the price of ai art drop very quickly to near zero, while the price of human art generally endures. This makes it great to fill gaps like this one!

Anyone tried this with 0.96? I assume the newly added planet art might get overwritten?

it'll override the new fancy illustrations, but as long as you don't mind that~

  • Added - setting specifying if the pre-set images overwrite the existing vanilla illustrations. off by default.
  • Adjusted - 0.96 compatibility
  • Fixed - Crash when abandoning a colony
  • Fixed - Custom set images are no longer lost on save reload
  • Fixed - Orbital Stations no longer have different visuals than planets until player leaves system
  • Fixed - Custom images now get retained when set via orbital station
  • Fixed - Custom images now immediately apply to orbital stations when leaving a planet

thank you so much! I wanted to use it, but didn't want to overwrite new illustrations. now I can use it and the AI stuff is really neat. it can add a lot in areas where it'd simply be unfeasible for small games/small teams or mods to have added visuals and such.

Hi.
Great fan of your work man, this and all your other mods. Thanks for all the hard work.
Just wanted to say I have the same issue as the other guy and this error has killed my save, as it happens 4 in-game days after loading the save.

Did try redownloading the mod but nothing changed.
Was a bit of a letdown but I had been playing a lot these days so no problem if I can't get the save back. But seeing someone else with the same issue made me think it might be better to report it just in case.

Don't think so. Started this run last weekend so it was July already. Both that time and now I downloaded from the link on the  main page, so unless you changed the download link during the last week, both should be the same.
I never downloaded the one in this page, however.

Also I'm pretty sure my game crashed several times with this error, it just now reached a point where it happens the same in-game day.

Hello,

This crash was caused by TASC, not Illustrated Entities. Please update to the latest version of TASC (it's backwards compatible) and post in the TASC thread if the crash continues to occur after updating. My apologies for the inconvenience!
