Contacts vs Potential Contacts
« on: November 04, 2022, 01:06:54 PM »

Can we get an option to filter out Potential Contacts? I don't usually edit my contact list much, so once it's full, I'd really like to not see any of their faces again. This is particularly an issue when I'm not sure what I want to do next, so I pull up the map and see who the nearest contact is and more than half the markers are "potential."

Deleting contacts means you can't develop them later if you want to change things up. Disabling one tab is also infinitely easier than manually deleting every new potential contact that appears, especially since you can't control when it happens.

Functional, but tedious! Not quite sure what the rate of potential contact generation is... suspect it's about one per quest? So a couple per month on average? Definitely not a chore that enriches the game.

Do "Potential Contacts" come with a time limit?

Such as, make them full Contacts in X amount of days before the entry deletes itself.

That way you can just ignore them if you don't want them.

This doesn't need any special option to filter out.

Just remove undeveloped contacts from the 'Important' tab.
They already have their own 'Contacts' tab so no need to add anything.

I suppose contacts in general could use a timeout or some sort of a more refined progression system. There is currently no good reason to develop contacts below grade 4. Perhaps reaching a certain amount of reputation with lower level ones could act as a stepping stone towards making higher level ones available. Or making your lower level contacts grow in level by dedicating special actions to them (like Shadow of Mordor but simpler) could make developing them worthwhile.
