Description
A utility mod that equips your sensors with a sensor signature memory bank.
Safe to update/add to/remove* from an ongoing campaign.
When a previously encountered object appears as a sensor signature, it will be surrounded by a circle.
Fleets are colored based on faction, cargo pods are yellow and everything else is gray.

*to remove the mod, set removalMode to true in settings.json, run starsector and load your game, wait a few seconds and save the game. Now you can remove the mod.

  • 0.1.0: initial release
  • 0.1.1: don't render circles while in a GUI, smoother circles
  • 0.2.0: color coding
  • 0.2.1: circles no longer rendered above fleet cards
  • 0.2.2: fix issue with duplicate circles when loading game, add removal mode
  • 0.2.3: fix potential issue with reading settings

Excuse me, can i get your permission to transpond(Mnemonic Sensors) in Chinese Forum?  i will upload this mod to a forum in China(everthing is free).

0.2.1 is out and fixes the issue where circles were rendered above fleet info cards

Hi there!

I have to say this looks like quite a nice QOL mod and one I'd like to add to my play. I do have a question first about the Run Starsector.run.mxl in the .run folder before I install it. It is a file I haven't come across in other mods and, unless I am misunderstanding it, it looks like it modifies game parameters. I am currently helping a player that is having some issues with JYD and I am looking into the mods they use to see if there are any conflicts. Some clarity on what that file does would be appreciated, thank you.

That's just settings for the IDE, it's not used when the mod gets loaded in Starsector.
Only the mod_info.json, the jar-file and the files in the data folder are used by Starsector.
When I release the next version I'll try to clean up the release a little bit to not include (as many) unused files xD

Damn, indeed, the latest update introduced those issues. I added a custom entity and apparently didn't think things through properly...
I'll try to fix them within this week. I'll also try to fix the inability to remove the mod from the campaign (which was caused by the same thing).

Should be fixed now (v 0.2.2)!
Unfortunately, making the mod removable while keeping the fix to render circles below fleet cards was much trickier than I thought. So instead I now included a settings.json file that has a single setting called removalMode. If that setting is set to true, the mod will do nothing except clean itself up to allow for mod removal (after saving with removalMode on).

Sorry to hear that. Could you give me some more details, like the exact error message you are getting? Do you get the error on loading a game? Or when setting removal-mode to true?

Sorry to hear that. Could you give me some more details, like the exact error message you are getting? Do you get the error on loading a game? Or when setting removal-mode to true?

Game threw an error when loading the save, and setting removal mode to true doesn't change anything. Removing the mod and loading the save still don't work
