Been playing for about 40 hours, is there much left for me to do?

I got this game a couple weeks ago - been loving it. However, I'm not sure if there's much left for me to do.

I have:
Spoiler
  • Completed the entire quest starting from the academy
  • Maxed out my level
  • Built 6 thriving colonies complete with alpha core governors that are highly profitable
  • Decivilized about half of the hegemony while commissioned by Tri-Tachyon
  • Explored and surveyed about 70% of the systems
  • Found a couple weird red planets with grid like textures and killed the remnants there

I want to keep going, but I'm worried I'm running out of content. Is there much else for me to experience? Quest lines I'm missing? Major activities? Things to discover?

Would love to experience everything the game has to offer.

Have you found the special type of remnant that guards the hypershunts (the ones that drop the special weapons). Those are interesting pieces of late-game content.

You may have experienced one decent playthrough, but you could always try out new playthroughs where you make different choices and p;lay with different kinds of fleet.

Or dive into the infinite well of modded content.

Yeah, the modded scene on here has a ton of content.
Just make sure that when you unzip folders you don't have a folder inside of a folder!

A good "final boos" for a playthrough would be to get a high-importance military contact up to high relations. They'll eventually give you a special remnant bounty with a "dorito" in it. Toughest fight in the game barring ordo stacks, which would be self-inflicted anyways.

how about wipe out all other factions ? it will hurt your economy, but if you want something to do, you may consider that.
