I've read a few hints towards this, however I am curious how far it will be taken. Will it be possible to build things in space, such as defense and staging platforms, even whole space stations, that you can interact with like any other station?

Speaking of interaction, my other question is, how will planet/space station interaction work in SF?

I strongly suspect that while the devs have at least a general framework for how they want the overworld stuff to work that the actual implementation of the player constructing/buying/dealing with space stations/planets is so far off that any information they'd give us is extremely subject to change. 

I'm hoping it ends up something like X3, only without the micromanagement... but also with more options.  More depth, but also more streamlined!
