This is a mod that replaces vanilla backgrounds with imagined starscapes. I did my best to make these backgrounds fit with the art of the game. If there is any particular starscape you don't like, you can go into the "Brandon's Spectacular Starscapes\Graphics\backgrounds" folder and delete the offending starscape, and it will be replaced again with the vanilla one in your game.

Compatibility

This mod is fully compatible with mods like Unknown Skies which add more backgrounds to the game. This mod replaces vanilla backgrounds.

These are very beautiful, although some of them feel a little too pixely

I was a big fan of the backgrounds that people added to FTL, and Arma Armatura's New Meshan system made me pine for those times. I'm so glad to see that kind of thing in Starsector

There's been an update to my mod! All of the backgrounds have been replaced with new ones that fit the game better, and should have less "grain" to them. I hope you all enjoy.

Sounds great, are the screenshots in the OP post the updated ones? Roughly how many images are there in total?

LOVE LOVE LOVE these! However, the weapon arcs are SO hard to see through the yellow(ish) backgrounds... Is there a mod to change the color/intensity?
