Sometimes I felt like Starsector is too immersive and serious. I mean, every time I want to do ridiculous bs and fool around, I just get overwhelmed by the feel of the hyperspace heathlands of Persean Afghanistan, and find myself having filled my Apogee with heroin to the brim and angering the Diktat patrols to the point they are trying to kill me on sight. Vanilla Starsector truly is just too exciting, so I decided to fix that.

So then I've come up with Meme Portraits. Use it at your own risk, since it is still unclear whether it is healthy for human brains. But some say their dankest dreams came true with enabling this mod. So please, check it out, and remember to meme safe.

The rightmost portrait in the 5th row down is troubling, and heavily associated with bigotry. This isn't something that's *at all* acceptable on the forum. I've removed the download link and preview image; locking the thread for the time being. Please send me a PM if you'd like to re-post a version of the pack without that portrait.

What's up my dudes.
I've heard you are very careful with copyrights here. I think I've come up with a solution for that.
What if I remade the portraits from scratch instead of photoshopping them? Like this Technoviking I've drawn this morning, for example:



This way it can pass for a parody or tribute, which are much more copyright-friendly than just straightforward photoshopping, I think.
On other hand, this is a hell lot of more time consuming than collaging, and it will take forever to complete.

What if we picked some of the portraits which are known to be the most copyright problematic, so I remake only those?
For the authors that are known for not tolerating the spoofs of their works, we just delete the corresponding meme portraits and forget about them.
And we leave the rest of the portraits as is.
