[0.96a] Space Truckin' v1.4a

Space Truckin' is a content expansion mod focused on increasing the types and availability of trade missions within the sector. Have you ever wanted to just sit back, see the sites, and cruise from star to star all while making a few space-bucks? Well then get yourself a USL (Universal Shipping & Logistics) license and get hauling!


Safe to:
Add to new games: yep
Add to existing games: should be
Remove from saves: unknown, should be okay if you don't have any missions in progress, or you can just stop accessing the mission board


Changelog:
v1.4a - Updated for RC10, no major changes, completely save compatible
v1.4 - Fixed several potential memory leaks, slight adjustment to parcel contract rewards and size
v1.3 - Update for SS .96a. Slight tweak to initial config reward scaling based on community feedback


Configuration:

Upon starting a new game, or adding to an existing save, you will be prompted to configure the mod settings. Checking the "Enable" button for a faction will add a USL contact for any of that stations markets. Any factions added by mods will be listed in additional columns, and will be disabled by default. Commodities added by mods can also be included in missions, however very high valued commodities can break the reward scaling of contracts. This menu can be accessed later if you wish to make changes by click the 'C' button in the top-right of the Contracts Board. You can also save your settings to file, which will persist between saves, just remember to "Load from File" when starting a new game.

How to start Space Truckin':

When visiting an enabled market, open the contacts menu and speak with the USL Concierge. Speaking with the Concierge is also how you complete contracts.
After you receive your license, you can gain access to the USL Contract Board. Starting contracts are small, and are barely profitable. However, by completing more contracts and raising your USL rating, larger contracts and rewards will be available. Tooltips explaining the contract types are shown by hovering over the contract tabs.

Freight Contracts: These standard contracts are available to all captains. While not always the most lucrative contracts, combining several close-by contracts can be profitable. Contract size will increase along with your USL rating, and the number of available contracts is based on the market size and your USL rating.
Parcel Contracts: Upon reaching a USL liability rating of 20, and having a 'USL Parcel Sorting Cargo Hold' installed on at least 1 ship, these contracts become available. Only one of these missions can be in progress at a time, and the quantity of the contract can be adjusted using the red and green buttons below the contract list. Failing one of these missions can severely hurt your USL rating. Also be careful not to lose any of your parcel cargo, as this will also result in a contract failure.
Logistics: Completing USL contracts results in USL Supply and Fuel Points, which can be used to purchase supplies and fuel at heavily discounted prices at any USL station.

The configuration menu can also be accessed by clicking the 'C' button to the top-right of the Contract Board. Be careful to not have any contracts in progress when changing settings.

Hullmod: For Parcel contracts, a 'USL Parcel Sorting Cargo Hold' hullmod must be installed on at least 1 ship. These hullmods will increase your daily supply usage, and should not be left installed when not completing Parcel contracts. The hullmod cannot be removed while a Parcel contract is in progress.
Parcels: Parcels cannot be bought or sold at any market, but in extreme & necessary situations can be dropped. Dropping any portion of your contract parcels will immediately fail the mission.

Just wanted to say ty for helping fill in a hole in the game. I am always looking for ways to play other than pew pew and trade missions, especially early game are key. Looking forward to trying it!

im not a modder so i dont know if this is possible.
my suggestion would be: when you accept a delivery quest there could be a 20ish% chance of you being imidiatly stopped by another npc who says "hey (player name), i overheard that you were heading to (quest location) for a delivery. Could you also deliver (small amount of goods) to (solar system 5-10ly away from quest location) on your way there? ill pay you ($) if you do."?
and it could be a legit delivery request or a trap.

I love this, adds a ton of immersion to the game if you want to do a Space Trader play through.

Speaking of immersion, can we get a version without the [ST] prefix in the bar dialogues? :D

i dont think the cost multiplier is working correctly- i started a game, played it a bit with default settings, and i wanted to increae the reward payout. so i changed the variable from 0.5f to 1.2f, then i started a new game. but the new payouts actually look like there less than what they were originally. it might just be seeing things, or some other mod messing with it (im running with like 140 mods), but it might be worth  checking out

CRASH when adding to existing saves
find a reason - if download exiting save and land fleet on planet BEFORE config window, crash will imminent
