I really like that 360 omni shields can be visibly rotated, it's fun!
However the static mesh does not look good without ripples so right now Graphics Lib is pretty much mandatory.
Could you provide an option to enable the effects for every shield regardless of whitelist settings?

Just install the csv i posted earlier, it's very easy to add hull styles yourself.

Thanks, but necessary whitelisting is already done manually for now, I merely asked this out of foresight.

v1.1.0
- default mode now removes dark edge, has config option to revert
- smoothed seam when transitioning to 360 shield
- made jitter value easier to edit
- minor visual tweaks

Download in OP, enjoy :)

Knowing nothing about nothing, I wonder if a green or purple tinted shield option would be useful for custom ships, midline or [redacted],  also don't how much work it would take. Just an idea.

Enabled only this plugin.

I've got small message box with message:
Fatal: Error creating vertex shader
ERROR: 0:1: '' : version '330' is not supported
ERROR: 0:3: 'layout' : syntax error: syntax error
Check starsector.log for more info.


But no starsector.log created, logs dir is empty.

yes this is expected, m1 macs do not support opengl because apple. tough luck

Not quite right, M1 is powerful, by the way another Java-based game – Minecraft with installed OptiFine (GFX mod with shaders) works well, just tested and got good performance. So, I guess, there is a question to abstraction layer of graphics.

its really great............... but some ship still ha a default shield rather than hexagonal, example sparrowhawk from blade breakers, is this some kind of blacklist or just didnt apply, or just a bug?
