How do I modify High Scatter Amplification hullmod file?

The java file is not located in "Starsector\starsector-core\data\hullmods"

I managed to find the file in "com\fs\starfarer\api\impl\hullmods\" but modifying it or making a copy to Starsector\starsector-core\data\hullmods won't make any changes. Can anyone help?  :'(

If you're doing it for a mod (which is usually a better option than altering the base game) you'd need to make a copy of HighScatterAmp.Java from starsector.api and paste the copy in an appropriate folder in your mod. You'll also need a copy of hullmods.csv in data/hullmods and that needs to be pasted into the same file structure in your mod. After that you need change the address in the script to match where your copy of HighScatterAmp.Java is located. At that point you can make alterations to the java file that should work in game.

I haven't personally altered the base file, but I do have a pair of hullmods based off of it that alter it after the fact if you're interested.

take this mod, it contains high scatter array jar file moved into an easily editable jar within the mod's file. It also contains a premade rebalance of several mods, including high scatter array, advanced turret gyros, extended shield emitter, shield shunt and advanced optics.

I know this is a zip file and you can easily get a virus from this, so ask someone else to verify this file using a virtual machine. If you feel like u can trust this file, download it and input it as a mod within your game's files.


If you want to change the mod's stats, edit the jar file, or hullmods file.
