Simple question, is there a mod that can do this or a method I can do myself to clear the map file? I find them more an annoyance than anything else and would rather not play with them.

I'm playing around in the game files to try and stop the deep hyperspace form even generating. So far no luck. I found a hyperspace function in the Terrian.json file in the campaign folder but messing with it either did nothing or crashed the game. Replacing the hyperspace map image with a blank white screen did nothing as well. If anyone who knows a bit more about this than me want to take a look and see if we can turn off hyperspace storms, then please let us know what you find.

Also back up your game if you poke at those files. I misplaced a bracket and now I need to reinstall.

Only way I know is to get Adjusted Sector and set hyperspace storm spawning to false

You can also just run silent through them or hold S to ignore them.
