Out for the count
« on: June 20, 2011, 09:04:55 AM »

my main computer is being rather dead at the moment since yesterday (even made a new ship the day before that I have yet to post), I may or may not be terribly productive for the coming time.

Fortunately they were about the only components that survived the initial PSU failure and subsequent upgrades (what I mean there is that they were still compatible - in fact, the optical drives I just barely made by because I had a pci-based ide controller card still. And a single pci slot.)

On the other hand, 3.8Ghz hex-core was very alluring.

lol, have to rma the video card :P
surprisingly, an evga card, never had a lemon from them before. Though I must hand it to their customer support that they are very prompt (accepted my RMA request in... 10 minutes... on a sunday (website says 1 to 2 business days).

Did it overheat or suffer an electrical surge?
